PRIMARY PURPOSE:
The Henry Restaurant is seeking an Executive Chef to lead our culinary team. We specialize in classic American breakfast and brunch cuisine, providing an upscale dining experience. You’ll lead the culinary team in creating unique twists on comfort food, crafting dishes that delight all the senses. Our restaurant is renowned for its late-night offerings and exceptional Sunday brunches, featuring colorful plates and creative presentations. You'll have a passion for excellence and innovation in the kitchen, and develop a perfect variety of breakfast dishes.
THE DAY-TO-DAY:

Culinary Expertise: Develop and perfect a variety of breakfast dishes, including expertly crafted omelets. Maintain excellent knowledge of the property’s food and beverage products, menu items, and equipment used to perform duties.

Leadership and Management: Own, lead, and oversee daily kitchen operations, including fiscal budgets, labor productivity, scheduling, inventory control, guest service standards, and the development and execution of menu strategies to ensure both short-term and long-term profitability.

Operational Excellence: Execute policies, operating procedures, pricing initiatives, training programs, directives, menus, rules, and regulations for the commissary staff. Ensure the highest standards of health, sanitation, and cleanliness in all kitchen areas.

Guest Interaction and Quality Control: Interact with internal and external guests to ensure satisfaction and product quality. Address and act on guest feedback and complaints appropriately. Collaborate with divisional Directors, Executive Chefs, and the kitchen team to ensure seamless product delivery, including adherence to time standards, recipe specifications, and quality.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent experience.

Two (2) or more years of prior relevant experience.
WHAT WILL MAKE YOU STAND OUT:

Previous experience managing employees under a collective bargaining agreement.

Previous experience working in a brunch, breakfast or late-night restaurant.

Previous experience in a luxury or fine-dining restaurant.

Complete knowledge of health and safety regulations.

Knowledge of all products, menu items and equipment used to perform these duties.

Able to lead and mentor a team.
