JOB SUMMARY: Prepares records of shipments and bills of lading. Prepares records of receipt of incoming material and equipment and posts to open orders of suppliers. Responsible for accuracy of shipping documents and verifying receiving receipts with open orders. This position is primary to ship product to the customer.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.)

Prepares bills of lading for each shipment and checks and records all items loaded for shipment.

Allocates, prints, and invoices packing lists.

Enter routers from productions.

Responsible for picking up completed assemblies from the production floor.

Responsible for seeing that orders are shipped via the correct method on the scheduled date (when available).

Assist in reconciling inventory errors.
-
Maintain the inventory accuracy as it relates to shipping.
- Responsible for shipping RMAs and other items as needed.

Coordinates truck and container pick up for customer orders.

On received goods, checks and counts all items unloaded from trucks or trailers. Checks suppliers count and reports discrepancies to carrier and to the Purchasing Department.

Enters data in the computer for all inbound, outbound, and internal movement of materials in the warehouse.

Generates receivers. Prints out receivers with information that was put into the computer.

Transfers manifest of all material that was received and shipped.

Assist with loading and unloading trucks, and moving freight as needed.

Required to operate a forklift as needed.
- Examines articles for defects and shortages.
- Lift and carry totes/boxes from one location to another.
- Other assignments as assigned.
SUPERVISION GIVEN/RECEIVED
Is supervised by the Production Supervisor and received direction from other Site Leaders. This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
-
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and two years’ experience in shipping/receiving; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports.
-
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
-
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Ability to operate a computer and use database software.
- Knowledge of computer inventory and shipping system.
- Ability to use a 10-key calculator.
- Knowledge of trucking routes and shipping functions.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

EMS or Manufacturing Experience.
