Plant Facilities Supervisor
The Facilities Supervisor is accountable for managing the maintenance department and
overseeing the day-to-day compliance of all policies and procedures; translating the
company vision and strategy into a working plan; providing leadership and training to
maintenance staff.
Responsibilities:
Ensures the safe, timely, effective and efficient operation of the plant machinery,
manufacturing equipment facilities, and associated infrastructure
Oversee continuous improvement efforts required to expand maintenance
capabilities; identifying opportunities to improve the processes and for analyzing
maintenance operations and making appropriate recommendations to improve
efficiency
The Facilities Supervisor is also responsible for all MRO activities and initiatives
As a member of the plant supervisory staff, the Facilities Supervisor provides
technical, functional, and process leadership
The successful candidate will serve as a working supervisor, directly supervising
and coordinating the activities of the department staff and outside contractors
necessary for the successful and efficient operation of our facility
Maintains proper documentation of required processes
Works with internal and external business partners to implement company-wide
initiatives and plant-specific initiatives; offers innovative solutions that result in
cost reduction
Oversees proper maintenance of all plant machinery to ensure safe, continual and
efficient operation
Ensures that Preventive Maintenance is appropriately scheduled and executed on
time
Supports and executes continuous improvement on 5S standards
Eliminate down time, seeking ways to improve efficiency
Effectively develops and applies preventive and corrective measures
Identifies potential areas for improvement
Employ appropriate measures to minimize emergency and or repetitive
breakdowns
Ensure that maintenance support is readily available as required
Set maintenance goals and work with the maintenance staff to achieve the
objectives
Continuously improve maintenance processes and maintenance personnel
performance to achieve optimum efficiency
Ensure timely execution of production related activities
Ensure compliance with all relevant safety and environmental regulations
Manage multiple tool rooms, machine and fabrication shops
Develop and execute equipment predictive reliability programs

Requirements:
3-7 years’ experience in Mechanical Maintenance in a manufacturing environment
Proven managerial skills from similar manufacturing industries
A minimum of 5 years relevant and verifiable supervisory / work experience
involving various skilled trades disciplines
Problem solving and analytical skills; Lean / Six Sigma certification
Competency with Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint programs. AutoCAD
experience is a plus
Demonstrate subject matter depth and breadth involving maintenance activities
Interfaces effectively with superiors, peers and subordinates. Ability to clearly
communicate up and down the organization in both written and verbal
communication forms
