Duties & Responsibilities: This is a
recruitment for a Certified Peer Specialist with the Core (Adult). Candidates
to be Certified Peer Specialist with the Core Services and will carry a
caseload and provide some clinical and case management duties.
To be eligible, one must have a primary diagnosis of mental illness or a dual
diagnosis of mental illness and addictive disease and a strong desire to
identify themselves as a person with a mental illness.
One must have at least a high school diploma or GED but a college degree is
preferred. One should demonstrate experience with leadership, advocacy, or
governance, and be well grounded in their recovery (that must be at least one
year between diagnosis and application to the training).
Minimum Training & Experience: Any combination of training and experience,
which would have enabled the applicant to acquire the necessary knowledge,
skills and abilities. Note: Position requires a valid driver's license issued
by the state of Georgia and must possess Certification as a Peer Specialist.
