This document outlines the job responsibilities and performance expectations of a Sr. Chemistry Laboratory Technician.
Responsible for making sure all products meet customers’ requirements and to maintain consistent product quality from batch to batch. Visually inspect or manually test products before, during and after the manufacturing process. Must run and monitor all inspection equipment as well record and analyze quality data. Support operations by maintain logs and records, troubleshooting and resolving problems. Will assist with special projects when assigned.
- REQUIREMENTS FOR POSITION
Some post-secondary education is required. Bachelor's of in a science discipline is preferred!
Must have a minimum of 1 years of related laboratory experience. Reactive Chemistry experience preferred.
Strong computer skills including the ability to prepare spreadsheets and use Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and/or Access) to analyze data and trends.
Effective communication skills.
Full time availability of 40 hours per week and occasional nights/weekends as needed to perform job duties.
Excellent people skills are absolutely a must in order to be successful.
Collect samples of raw materials to be used in full scale production batches.
Produce lab scale batches and pilot scale batches as necessary.
Perform analysis of batches to ensure product meets specifications.
Operate general laboratory equipment.
Maintain lab equipment and calibration of lab equipment.
Heavy equipment lifting and operation will be required occasionally.
Responsible for cleaning the lab.
Other duties as assigned by management.
