POSITION SUMMARY:
The purpose of the Assembly Technician III is to assemble high horsepower diesel engines in our state of the art shop. H-E Parts provides world-class industrial diesel engine re-manufacturing services to the mining, stationary power and oil and gas industries. Our dedication to quality and precision ensures that every one of our StaTerra Power™ diesel rebuilds run like new.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Safety – conduct all activities in a safe manner, utilizing PPE and adhering to company policy and alerting others regarding potential concerns. Safety is # 1.
- Enforce the highest standards for job quality while maintaining an appropriate level of interpersonal relationships.
- Ensure that all work is properly performed.
- Establish and maintain the pace of production. Being aware of job deadlines.
- Immediately notifying Shop Manager / Assembly Lead of any job delay or potential issue.
- Provide on-the job training and guidance (Company policies, job procedures, safety and good work practices, etc.).
- Maintain a clean, safe and orderly work area
- Work shifts and overtime, as required.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Constantly meeting or exceeding goal hours on jobs.
- Assist in training and answering questions from fellow employees
- Ability to follow company instructions, procedures, and policies
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma (or equivalent) is preferred.
- Three (3) years’ experience in engine assembly or other related disciplines or education required.
- Meet the skills / knowledge / ability requirements for an Assembly Tech required.
- Thorough knowledge of and demonstrated compliance with company policy, procedure and performance expectations required.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills as evidenced by satisfactory job performance and/or current and previous work experiences required.
- Two (2+) years Cat SIS knowledge required.
- Ability to lift up to 50# is required.
