The Human Resources Administrator will lead and direct the functions of the Human Resources (HR) department including payroll, benefits administration, employee relations, employee lifecycle, PTO tracking, enforcing company policies and practices, and searching for a new PEO.
Frequently interacting with staff, the position supports the department managers and staff in a fast-paced environment. The candidate must be flexible, proactive and act with a high degree of professionalism and the ability to always maintain employee privacy and confidentiality. Excellent written and verbal communication, strong decision-making abilities and a positive work ethic are critical to the success of this position.
Human Resources Information System (HRIS) - PEO
- Utilizes the HRIS system to eliminate administrative tasks, empower employees, and meet the other needs of the organization.
- Works with the Financial Controller to administer all HR related systems, including those for Applicant Tracking, HR and Payroll as well as their interfaces to other corporate systems.
- Ensures that all required documentation related to the employee lifecycle is properly archived and secured.
Training and Development
- Creates learning and development programs and initiatives that provide internal development opportunities for employees.
- Coordinates all Human Resources training programs, and assigns the authority/responsibility of Human Resources and managers within those programs.
- Leads the implementation of the performance management system that includes performance development plans (PDPs) and employee development programs.
- In conjunction with staff, help support and implement policies and procedures for a safe workplace. Ensure all accidents and injuries are reported to the appropriate parties.
Employee Relations
- Provides support and guidance to Recruiters, Management, and other staff when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise; may be required to administer and execute routine tasks in delicate circumstances such as providing reasonable accommodations, investigating allegations of wrongdoing, and terminations.
- Ensures that a proper employee survey cadence is followed and develops a robust exit interview and survey process with a high participation rate; implements processes to communicate findings from these leading to constructive changes
- Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations.
- Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.
Compensation and Benefits
- Analyzes trends in compensation and benefits; researches and proposes competitive base and incentive pay programs to ensure the organization attracts and retains top talent.
- Monitors all pay practices and systems for effectiveness and cost containment.
- With the assistance of the Financial Controller, obtains cost-effective, employee-serving benefits; monitors national benefits environment for options and cost savings.
Organization Development
- Partners with the leadership team to understand and execute the organization’s human resource and talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, and succession planning.
- Manages employee communications to ensure that staff members are kept informed and motivated.
Compliance
- Maintains compliance with national and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices in each jurisdiction where the company does business; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.

- Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization’s ATS, HRIS and payroll systems.
- Basic accounting knowledge.
Education and Experience
- Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
- A minimum of three years working in Business Administration or HR.
- Worked for US company and familiar with HR and Business practices pertaining to a US workforce.
