Purpose: Keep displays, coolers, and shelves fully stocked and to provide prompt, friendly, courteous customer service and to help meet department sales objectives.
Status: Part-time, $16.00-$18.00/hour, various shifts, afternoons, evenings, nights, weekends required.

Job Responsibilities
Stocking:
- Stock displays fully without overcrowding; face items on shelves
- Rotate older stock to front, making space for new stock
- Pull short-date or low quality items and follow established departmental procedures for recording and disposing of them
- Label items accurately with price tags or signs as needed. Report price discrepancies to buyers
Customer Service:
- Assist customers with product questions in a prompt, friendly, courteous manner, referring them to other staff when necessary
- Offer suggestions for purchases and ways to prepare products
- Help customers place Special Orders
Receiving:
- In absence of Receiver, check deliveries to verify piece count and notify purchaser of discrepancies
- Check for damage and unacceptable quality, notify purchaser of discrepancies
- Help with unloading deliveries as needed
- Sign for deliveries with appropriate adjustments noted on invoice and route invoice to buyer
- Rotate overstock into storage
Department Maintenance:
- Keep shelves, coolers, and bins in clean, orderly condition
- Remove cardboard and trash promptly
- Sweep and mop floor
- Monitor cooler and freezer temperatures when working in those areas
- Report equipment malfunctions/problems to appropriate parties as per departmental procedures
- Use equipment following all appropriate safely procedures
- Participate in inventory as assigned

- Attend Department and store meetings
- Perform other tasks assigned by supervisor
