Advance Industrial Maintenance & Machine is a full service machine shop, fabrication and field maintenance business located in Augusta, Ga. We enjoy what we do and it shows through our employees, culture and quality of work. Our team is looking to add a highly motivated and skilled Industrial Maintenance Technician. The Industrial Maintenance Technician must be familiar with large machinery and its installation, repair, and maintenance. We are looking for an individual who is willing to take initiative, can work independently, follow specific procedures and directions, and can prioritize their workload to meet deadlines.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as an in-field representative of AIMM to provide solutions and enhance customer satisfaction
- Complete projects with minimal supervision, providing recommendations to minimize equipment down-time and improve lost production
- Improve reliability and efficiency of equipment. Take a proactive approach to equipment issues with a preventative maintenance mentality
- Maintain, repair, assemble and install machinery and equipment
- Troubleshoot mechanical equipment in operation. Dismantle and examine equipment to access and remove faulty parts. Make necessary alterations, repairs or replace faulty parts
- Read and interpret blueprints, instruction manuals and follow detailed repair drawings related to installing and rebuilding process equipment
- Operate machinery including but not limited to grinders, band saws, cutting torch, welder, etc
- Use hand tools, power tools, precision tools, pneumatic tools, shop equipment and man lifts to modify or repair parts and equipment
- Use of hoisting equipment, such as rigging, chain falls, come-a-long, fork truck, and signaling of operator
- Weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions
- Fabricate and install welded and threaded piping
- Small scale fabrication
- Make weld repairs for pipe leaks on steam, condensate, air and water piping
- Adhere to and promote company safety standards
- Overtime available as needed
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years experience preferred
- Excellent mechanical aptitude
- Ability to read fabrication & assembly drawings
- Welding and fabrication experience
- Able to work in a variety of conditions: hot, cold, confined spaces, kneeling
- Able to lift 50 pounds
