The Mountain Association is a nonprofit seeking someone with administrative experience for a position that will support the success of small businesses and organizations in Eastern Kentucky! The Loan Support Associate will maintain detailed records of Mountain Association’s loan portfolio, including client information, loan details, documentation, and reporting. This position assists both the Lending and Portfolio Support teams with administrative needs. This is a hybrid position that must be within commuting distance of our Berea office where you will work approximately 2 – 3 days per week on relevant physical files.

Essential Functions:
1. Loan Portfolio Support

Assist in filing Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) statements and liens to secure Mountain Association’s collateral positions on loans
Follow up on insurance assignments and property tax payments associated with loans
Assist with releasing collateral as clients pay off their loans
Close out completed loan files and prepare loan files for shredding as needed
File and organize loan documents per program guidelines
Search the Credit Alert Verification Reporting System (CAIVRS) for existing debt clients may have
Assist in maintaining client records in Salesforce, which is our Customer Relationship Management system, including inputting contact details from loan inquiries
Support use of Salesforce and Nortridge, our loan management software
Assist in retrieving Secretary of State documentation and properly file for loan applications
Assist in setting up electronic loan files and assigning loans to Mountain Association lending specialists
Provide administrative assistance to Loan Fund Administrator and Lending Team
Participate in Lending and Portfolio Support team meetings
Cross-train on other duties as needed
2. Compliance and Reporting

Track and report on Mountain Association’s loan portfolio, closed loans, and undisbursed funds
Aggregate loan data and generate reports
Assist with required regulatory reporting for lending programs, including Small Business Administration (SBA), US Department of Agriculture (USDA) and Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) reporting
Research and stay up-to-date on requirements for new federal lending programs; attend relevant trainings
Monitor client loan agreements and file necessary documentation, such as annual tax returns
Support with various internal reporting on a regular and as needed basis
Oversee other client information gathering as assigned
Engages with and participates in the Mountain Association’s journey to increase diversity, equity, and inclusion both in our workplace and our work.

Tools and Equipment
Proficient in basic computer skills, i.e., Microsoft Word, Excel, Internet usage (email). Capable of learning company database systems.
Physical Demands
Must be able to work proficiently with computers and other office equipment.
Work is primarily in an office environment (at home or a Mountain Association office) with office equipment, sitting or standing for long periods.
Occasional travel in the service region will be required.
Some work will be on site and may require walking, bending, stooping, and climbing stairs/ladders.
