results achieved in prior engagements.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Successful contributors will demonstrate strong financial modeling, analytical skills, and exceptional collaborative
interpersonal skills with team members and clients. Ability to quickly adjust to and support client needs, as well as
willingness to travel as customer needs dictate.
Work closely on client company engagements that can cover an array of financial and operational analyses that can
include deeper financial and business analysis, capital raising, M&A sell-side advisory, lender negotiations, broader
strategic advisory, and bankruptcy analysis in certain highly distressed situations.
Work closely with a senior partner of the firm on engagements, typically in a one-on-one mentoring dynamic. The
experience over a medium time frame can not only lead an Associate to grow to lead engagements, but also assume
interim C-level management positions for companies in restructuring situations. Knowledge of the corporate
bankruptcy processes, negotiations and procedures will grow with experience.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Three (3) to seven (7) years of experience in finance, accounting or consulting: Investment banking,
commercial finance, leveraged finance, transaction advisory services, valuations, public accounting or
management consulting.
- Financial modeling experience: Building and reviewing integrated three statement models, weekly cash flow
models, valuation analyses.
- Expert analytical skills: Able to efficiently define problems, identify data needs, and analyze large complex
data sets in Excel to address client need.
- Strong verbal and oral communication skills: Able to distill complex situations and analyses into meaningful
information / recommendations for decision makers.
- Big picture perspective: Able to identify critical areas and drivers to quickly develop analyses to drive
solutions forward; skilled at identifying inconsistencies between analyses and other context clues.
- Self-Starter: Able to work through ambiguity with strong project management skills
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting preferred; MBA, CPA a plus
