Job Summary:
Your primary role will be to assist financial advisors in the preparation and development of comprehensive financial and investment plans and other client deliverables by analyzing client data, identifying areas of risk or strength in relation to a client’s needs and goals, and updating preliminary planning documents as requested or required by the receipt of updated client information.
The role requires proficiency in financial planning software and tools (such as RightCapital and Holistaplan), as well as standard office software (specifically including Excel at an advanced level), Word, PowerPoint, Adobe, Outlook & Zoom.
This role requires a self-starter with exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills, excellent analytical and mathematical skills, strong written and verbal communication abilities, a strong passion for financial planning, a professional demeanor, and strong written and verbal communication abilities as you interact with both advisors and clients.
Your secondary role will be to manage our Tamarac portfolio management software. You will take the lead in setting up and maintaining client accounts and portfolio groups in the system, rebalancing accounts, creating liquidity to meet distribution requests, producing performance reports, maintaining index performance, evaluating & classifying securities, and placing trades on a daily basis. While we do not expect you to be an expert in Tamarac, we do expect you to become one.
This role has the same general requirements as listed above but specifically also requires a well-grounded understanding of stocks, bonds, mutual funds, annuities, investment methodology, asset allocation and modern portfolio theory. Proficiency with portfolio management software (such as Orion, Black Diamond, or especially Tamarac) is preferred.

Qualifications:
· College degree plus 2 years’ experience in similar role within the Financial Services industry (or CFP®)
· State securities licenses and registrations as required (or be willing to obtain)
· Attention to detail and accuracy
· Excellent analytical and mathematical skills
· Proficiency with financial planning software (eg: RightCapital and Holistaplan)
· Experience with portfolio management software (proficiency with Tamarac preferred)
· Proficiency with standard office software and advanced level proficiency with Excel
· Strong written and verbal communication abilities
· Good inter-personal skills and team member orientation
· Strong passion for financial planning and investment analysis
· Well grounded understanding of stocks, bonds, mutual funds, annuities and other general asset categories
· Positive attitude and teachable spirit with a customer service orientation
· Reliably commute to Pasadena, CA.
Duties And Responsibilities:
Assist the firm’s financial advisors in the assessment of client financial data and the preparation of comprehensive financial plans.
Execute workflows and tasks assigned through our CRM (SalesForce) following up to complete outstanding items while consistently keeping advisors updated on your progress.
Manage and analyze client financial data to develop preliminary financial and investment plans.
Maintain the security of client data and ensure that it is properly stored in the firm’s database and files.
Update those financial and investment plans as directed or as needed when new client data is received.
Interface with clients as needed to obtain missing documents or clarify information.
Input and maintain account details, client goals, index performance and security level details in the firm’s portfolio management software.
Analyze specific stocks, bonds & mutual funds to properly classify each security in the Tamarac system and/or for client reports.
Set up and produce performance reports in the firm’s portfolio management software as needed by advisors.
Faithfully run weekly, monthly & quarterly investment reports and proactively identify and solve problems which are identified.
Place daily trades in client investment accounts as directed by advisors and/or as needed to maintain sufficient account liquidity.
Conduct economic and investment research necessary to analyze different portfolio structures and allocation alternatives.

Prepare client quarterly billings the first week of each calendar quarter.
Compensation:
Salary range $75,000 to $100,000 (depending on experience) – with bonus available
