Albany Law School seeks a dynamic and innovative individual to join our team as the Associate Director for Student Support for our new Flex JD program. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for counseling and advising students on their academic path and providing support to students enrolled in the primarily online Flex JD program. As all of the students will be remote, this position will be focused on creating a community among the students, and ensuring that the students stay connected to their courses, faculty, residential students, the larger Albany Law alumni community, and the program. The ideal candidate will bring a strong understanding of legal academia and the legal profession, strategic thinking skills, strong interpersonal and communication skills, exceptional organizational skills, and a passion for fostering a positive educational experience for our students. Routine evening hours will be required to support students living in different time zones.
Qualifications include:
- Graduate degree. Juris Doctor degree preferred.
- Minimum three years of related work experience. Academic advisement or student services experience strongly preferred.
- Proficiency with technology and video conferencing platforms.
- Expertise using Microsoft Office Suite products, databases and social media tools.
- Ability to effectively use CRM platforms.

Compensation: The estimated pay range for this position is $70,000 to $80,000 per year. Pay rate offered will be based on the successful candidate’s relevant experience, knowledge, skills and abilities, and in consideration of internal equity. Comprehensive benefit package includes medical, dental, vision, retirement plan with 5% retirement contribution, employer paid life insurance and disability coverage and generous paid time off (PTO, volunteer time off, holidays and parental leave). We are a Public Service Loan Forgiveness eligible employer.
