Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and organized individual to join our team as an Inventory Coordinator. This role will be pivotal in supporting our Logistics Manager with inventory management, warehouse operations, and the overall scope of logistics within the company. This position is based at our warehouse in Greer, SC. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, possess strong organizational skills, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Primary Responsibilities - Inventory Management:
- Maintain accurate inventory records of materials, tools, and equipment in the warehouse and job sites.
- Implement efficient inventory storage and tracking systems. Current systems are in place but need to be improved upon, revamped, or replaced.
- Perform regular audits to ensure inventory accuracy and minimize discrepancies.
- Conduct basic maintenance on tools and equipment as needed.
- Oversee repairs and/or calibrations for tools and equipment as needed.
- Prepare materials, tools, and equipment for new construction projects.
- Receive and organize materials, tools, and equipment returning from completed projects.
- Utilize forklift and pallet jacks for loading and unloading tasks.
- Prepare materials, tools, etc. for small parcel shipping (UPS) - Pull, package, label, etc.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the warehouse space.
Additional Responsibilities - Logistics Support:
- Assist with delivery and pickup of items to/from construction projects.
- Tow and operate trailers up to 20 feet in length for transportation purposes.
- Provide support to field teams by conducting occasional inventory work at job sites as needed.
- Assist with order tracking, spreadsheet updates shipping items to job sites from the warehouse, and other logistics-related tasks, as directed by the Logistics Manager.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in inventory management, logistics and/or warehouse operations is required.
- Experience in construction, renewable energy, and/or electrical environments is ideal but not required.
- Proficiency with computers and software such as Microsoft Office, especially Excel, is essential.
- Ability to work in a warehouse environment, including prolonged periods of standing, walking, and lifting heavy objects.
- Strong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Must be able to work both independently and collaboratively to meet project deadlines and objectives.
- Must be willing to travel occasionally as needed (most of our projects are in NC, VA, SC).
- Must have or be willing to obtain a current forklift certification.
- A clean driving record and valid Driver’s License is required.
- Experience with towing trailers is preferred. Training can be provided.
- Must have or obtain OSHA 10 certification. STG will provide resources to obtain.
