**Job Summary: **
The Job Developer plays a crucial role in the Employment Services Department, overseeing Job Coaches to ensure individuals receive the necessary support for increased independence and positive employment outcomes. Networking with local businesses to create employment opportunities and establishing relationships with businesses are key responsibilities. Upholding the agency's mission and values is paramount in this role.
**Responsibilities: **
- Demonstrate respect, integrity, and professionalism consistent with the agency's values in all interactions, decisions, and communications.
- Provide guidance to Job Coach staff by setting expectations and enforcing agency policies, procedures, and protocols consistently and fairly.
- Offer training and supervision to Job Coaches on work-related matters.
- Conduct periodic visits to job sites to ensure services are provided as required and address any ongoing issues promptly.
- Foster partnerships with area employers, schools, and organizations to maximize opportunities for individuals supported by the agency.
- Identify unconventional job prospects by building professional relationships in the community and employing innovative approaches to overcome employment obstacles.
- Coordinate necessary assistance for individuals with Employment Specialists/Job Coaches during job search activities.
**Position Requirements: **
- High School Diploma required; bachelor's degree preferred.
- Valid Illinois Driver's License.
- Previous experience in networking/business contacts, public speaking, and direct support job roles.
- Supervisory experience (1-2 years).
- Ability to support individuals in transition and drive.
- Proficiency in reading and understanding written information, writing, and using MS Office (including PowerPoint).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational abilities.
**Schedule: **
Typically daytime office hours Monday to Friday. Some evening and weekend work may be necessary depending on assigned duties. Travel within the community and working at remote locations may be required to fulfill job responsibilities.
