POSITION: Bartender

REPORTS TO: Food and Beverage Manager
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
? Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to guests in a timely and courteous
manner, following standard recipes and presentation guidelines.
? Welcome guests warmly, take beverage orders, and engage in friendly conversation to enhance
the guest experience.
? Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including bar tops, equipment, glassware,
and utensils, adhering to health and safety standards at all times.
? Check identification of guests to ensure they meet legal drinking age requirements before
serving alcoholic beverages.
? Monitor and control inventory levels of alcoholic beverages, mixers, garnishes, and other bar
supplies, requisitioning additional stock as needed.
? Process cash, credit card, and other forms of payment accurately and efficiently, handling cash
transactions and balancing cash register at the end of each shift.
? Provide recommendations on beverage selections, upselling specialty drinks, cocktails, and
promotional items to maximize revenue and guest satisfaction.
? Maintain knowledge of current drink trends, cocktail recipes, and industry developments,
continuously seeking opportunities for professional growth and improvement.
? Collaborate with other team members and departments to ensure seamless service delivery and
guest satisfaction throughout the establishment.
Requirements:
Position Requirements:
? Previous experience as a bartender or in a similar role within the hospitality industry is
preferred.
? Strong knowledge of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including cocktail recipes, wine
varieties, and beer selections.
? Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to interact with guests in a friendly and
professional manner.
? Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, multitasking and prioritizing tasks as
needed.
? Basic math skills, including the ability to handle cash transactions and make change accurately.
? Attention to detail and cleanliness, with a commitment to maintaining a clean and organized bar
area.
? Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by
business needs.
? Completion of responsible alcohol service training and BASSET certification may be required, depending
on local regulations.
