The Division of Student Life: University Housing & Dining is seeking a Temporary Food Worker I for Filling Station Café in Dental Science Building. Under direct supervision, the Temporary Food Worker I performs a variety of tasks involved in the preparation and cooking of food and grill items, performs related cleaning jobs and sanitation duties as assigned.
DUTIES TO INCLUDE:
- Participates in the preparation of foods to include: cutting, slicing, grating or peeling vegetables and fruits; and chopping, grinding, or slicing meats. Will perform cooking duties associated with groll cooking and preparing made-to-order menu items.
- Assembles, labels, stores, and issues foods as ordered or required to service areas at prescribed times.
- Performs sanitation duties by maintaining and cleaning, serving, dining and kitchen areas during and after service a/or food preparation.
- Assists with inventory control and ordering foods and supplies.
- Follows standardized recipe and instructions of other personnel in preparation of food items.
- Assist in on-the-job training of students and other assigned personnel in the preparation of menu items.
POSITION BASICS:
Hourly Rate/Range: $16.48
WORK SCHEDULE:
Hours: Varies per week (First week: Tuesday 11:30am - 2pm, Thursday 11:30am - 2pm, and Friday 11:30am - 2pm OR Tuesday 9:30am - 2pm and Thursday 9:30am - 2pm)
Work Week: Occasional overtime may be offered to cover peak periods of operational need
Additional Hours: As needed
