Hours:
. 3pm-11pm
. 10pm-6am
Responsibilities
- Duties include sorting, butchering, cleaning, weighing, and boxing various seafood products.
- All Fortune Seafoods employees are required to wear protective safety gear and are responsible for promoting and maintaining a safe working environment for self and others.
Qualifications
- Product and industry knowledge- fish and seafood handling
- Knife experience
- Chef experience a plus!
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Must have a basic understanding of the English language, including the ability to follow written and/or verbal instructions.
- Able to work with seafood, including various types of fish and shellfish.
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly throughout the work shift.
- Must follow all directions and adhere to work rules.
- Must be willing and able to work with other departments in a team atmosphere.
- Must be willing and able to work in a multi-cultural environment.
- Prompt and reliable attendance is an essential function of this job.
- Able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
Working Conditions
While performing the duties of this job, employees are regularly exposed to cool, wet and/or humid conditions and moving mechanical parts. There is exposure to raw fish in the workplace.
