CHADS Coalition for Mental Health saves young lives by advancing the awareness and prevention of depression and suicide.

CHADS Coalition believes in the importance of educating our teens, their families, and the community about youth mental illness, specifically depression and suicide. We also believe in enhancing the emotional well-being of youth through building self-esteem, self-efficacy, decreasing bullying behaviors, decreasing risk-taking behaviors, and supporting the development of social and emotional skills. To accomplish our mission and support the social and emotional well-being of a child, CHADS primarily uses the evidenced-based programs including SOS® (Signs of Suicide) and Social Emotional Mentoring. By providing a variety of educational opportunities and direct support to students and schools, CHADS is able to reduce the stigma around mental health and connect teens to much needed outlets and resources. Our geographic area is primarily the St Louis Metro Area and has now expanded to rural Missouri. CHADS is a 501c3 nonprofit.
