The Job
Supports the Research & Analysis Team and Health Care Informatics department by: (1) conducting research with internal and/or external data to better understand factors associated with health care behavior and quality outcomes; (2) designing studies and performing advanced analyses to make recommendations for the organization’s decision making; (3) developing predictive models to help risk stratification for interventions and case management; (4) designing and building reports for proper operation/outcome tracking; and, (5) supervising assigned staff and monitoring their work progress.
You Will
Your Qualifications
- Preferred: Master's Degree in statistics, biostatistics, mathematics, or related field, with emphasis on quantitative analysis
- 6+ years performing data analysis and interpretation, preferably in a health care or managed care setting.
- 4+ years of experience managing direct reports.
- Demonstrated knowledge of healthcare data, including but not limited to membership eligibility, encounters, pharmacy, provider, and financial data.
- Understanding of CMS Star Rating methodology, HEDIS, and HCC risk adjustment methodology preferred.
- Experience with predictive modeling and machine learning, required.
- Demonstrated ability to problem-solve and assign/monitor work within a team environment.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with, and present findings to customers at all levels of the organization including operational managers, medical directors and executives.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills; Ability to multitask.
- Ability to appropriately maintain confidentiality.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, required.
