Protective Services Supervisor – Hybrid Schedule – Hiring Bonus!
Seeking a full time (37.5 hours/week) Protective Services Supervisor. The Protective Services Supervisor works within the Protective Services Department. Job responsibilities include providing direct supervision to 4-5 Protective Services Workers; meeting with direct workers upon receipt of a report and throughout investigation to provide guidance; providing on-going direction for active PS cases; reviewing documentation to ensure it is completed correctly per EOEA regulations and according to timeframes; covering duties and caseloads as needed during Protective Services Worker’s absence; participating in the training of new PSWs; and serving as supervisor of the day, including office coverage until 5:00 p.m., following a rotating schedule.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Field of Degree in:* Social work, psychology, counseling, human development, nursing, sociology, criminal justice, public health, public policy, or gerontology preferred.*
3. At least 3 years experience working in counseling/casework in a protective service or crisis intervention setting required.
- At least 1 year supervisory experience preferred.
- Use of a reliable vehicle including active vehicle insurance with a current license to drive required
- Demonstrate strong organizational, prioritization, analytical, problem-solving, leadership, and team skills.
- Ability to multitask, keep accurate records, have a strong attention to detail, document clearly, and communicate effectively verbally and in writing, all within a fast-paced environment.
8. Ability to take initiative and work independently.
9. Computer proficiency, including experience with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Share Point, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
10. Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 20 pounds and have the ability to climb stairs.
* A hiring bonus will be awarded in 2 parts, half at 120 Days, and half at 1 year of active employment. The bonus for this position is $2,500.
