Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced highly skilled and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to be fully engaged in working across all constituencies to accurately and timely record financial transactions into the Company’s and subsidiaries accounting books and records. The Staff Accountant will support and report directly to the Head of the Accounting Department. Cardiff Lexington is a publicly traded healthcare company and leading provider of cutting-edge treatment options for orthopedic conditions to a considerably underserved patient population. Our regional primary specialty and ancillary care facilities strategically located in population centers throughout the state of Florida and Georgia expanding to a regional scale provide traumatic injury victims with a full range of diagnostic and surgical service, primary care evaluations, interventional pain management, and specialty consultation services.
The Staff Accountant shall work on multiple duties, tasks, and projects, leveraging technical and issue solving skills in performing all related activities for the company with the following main objectives:
· Record-to-report - delivering all timely and accurate internal and external financial reporting books and records, including monthend accounting closes.
· Ensure to capture all accounting related transactions for the subsidiary
· Support the development and enhancement of accounting principles, practices, and procedures to satisfy Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements,
Job Description
This is a key executive management position for the company. The Staff Accountant duties and responsibilities include:
· Primarily responsible for timely and accurate bookkeeping, recording transactions, assist closing the books and records for month end, quarter-end, and year-end.
· Oversight and ownership of accounting related transactions bookkeeping, subsidiary corporate ERP accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems and ensuring compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
· Maintain internal controls and appropriate accounting safeguard practices within subsidiary and corporate.
· Responsible for timely and accurate bank reconciliations, transactions and compliance.
· Work with external auditors in connection with the independent audits and reviews.
· Consistently perform analytical reviews, forecasting, financial auditing, and compliance with securities laws.
· Prepare, as needed, ad-hoc financial statements and analyses.
· Proactively analyze research accounting standards.
· Work closely with other subsidiary personnel and operations in a team environment to complete tasks and duties, and also work independently and be able to problem solve.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
- CPA license
- Strong background in bookkeeping, month end close, transactional accounting, consolidations
- Recent experience in a publicly traded company or public accounting is very helpful
- Practical knowledge of GAAP, SOX and key accounting concepts
- Advanced excel skills with ability to create polished and streamlined reports is helpful
- Strong organizational, time management, multi-tasking and problem-solving skills
- Must be highly analytical, solutions oriented and able to see the “big picture”
- Ability to excel in an agile, flexible, high-growth, scaling fast-paced environment
- A “can do attitude” on a routine day to day basis.
Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
- Proven experience as a Staff Accountant or similar role
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Proficiency in financial statement preparation and analysis
- Experience with tax preparation and compliance
- Familiarity with accrual accounting methods
- Knowledge of governmental accounting standards and regulations
- Ability to perform financial forecasting and budgeting
- Experience with financial auditing processes
- Understanding of securities laws and regulations

Remote (on East Coast) with ability to travel up to 10 to 20%
