Position Overview: Singing Hills Landscape, transforming Denver metro neighborhoods since 1995. We currently operate a fleet of roughly 450 diverse assets & 40 vehicles. The Fleet & Facilities Manager will oversee and maintain the organization’s fleet of trucks, trailers, and specialized assets and tools, and the office/shop/yard spaces of both Singing Hills and MM 2nd Ave.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; a bachelor’s degree in related field preferred.
- 3-5 years of experience in fleet maintenance or repair with 2+ years in a supervisory role preferred
- Valid driver’s license required
- CDL a plus
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Supervisory Management
- Oversee or delegate responsibility for the day-to-day workflow of the Shop/Yard department (potentially for a split shift operation)
- 1-3 mechanics
- Outsourced mechanic and repair work
- Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
- Ensure DOT, OSHA, and other relevant regulatory compliance
Fleet Management
- Manage purchase of new equipment in collaboration with production team, from identifying how to fill a need to signing purchase documents and loan papers
- Develop schedules and procedures for routine maintenance & inspection, and non-routine repair of all assets in the company’s fleet.
- Review and approve parts / service expenditures
- Record all repair and maintenance costs for analysis
- Keep Fleet operational and available for use
- Prepare and implement department budgets annually – both operational and capital expenditure.
- Draft and present reports on department operations and expenses.

- Manages Shop Supplies & Inventory
- Annual Registrations & inspections
- Establish schedules for recommended replacement of fleet vehicles & assets
- Standardize process to set up new vehicles & assets
- Develop and enforce procedures, policies, and safety protocols for all staff utilizing fleet vehicles
- Driver Testing – annually as needed – and for all new SHI drivers
- Asset Training and Safety
- Coordinates Insurance coverages
- Handle Fleet incidents, and interact with Insurance on claims
- Responsible to stay abreast of new technologies and best practices (robotics, electrics, AI, etc.)
- Collaborate with suppliers to source parts / supplies and negotiate favorable purchase terms & pricing
- Perform other related duties as required.
- Yard commodity inventory & dumpster management
Facilities Management
- Manage maintenance and improvements to Singing Hills’ offices
- Manage maintenance and improvements to the MM 2nd Ave Investments complex
- Maintenance and repair of property fences and gates
- Performs other related duties as required.
Requirements:
- Knowledge of Landscape equipment, techniques & requirements
- Extensive knowledge and understanding of fleet management and operations
- Ability to prepare and adhere to a budget and to monitor expenses
- A demonstrated grasp of 5S and other organizational systems – incorporate into the layout, and operation of the shop
- Safe operations of all tools and equipment, including Mini-Skids, Mowers, Excavators
- DOT Federal & State regulations knowledge
- OSHA 10 hour certificate (can be completed upon hire)
- Knowledge of hazardous material regulations
- Process-oriented and data driven
- Managerial and supervisory skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to communicate in Spanish is a plus
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, and asset tracking software
- Must be able to lift 50lb
Work Environment: This position requires physical abilities such as strength, manual dexterity, and must be able to perform all required functions of this position. While performing the duties of this job, the Fleet Manager is regularly required to stand, walk, bend, lift, crouch, reach, stoop, crawl or kneel. The position is regularly exposed to odors, smoke noise, vibrations, dust, intense light and chemicals including cleaners, solvents, paints, and other toxic agents. Outdoor environmental conditions including extreme hot and cold conditions.
This position may be required to be available to take calls on weekends and holidays.
Working Relationships: The Fleet Manager will work closely with the Owner, COO/President, Division Mangers, Admin Manager, Project Managers and Foremen. At all times the Fleet Manager is a representative of Singing Hills Inc. and will conduct him/her in an appropriate manner.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
