Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Investor Relations Associate to join our team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in raising capital for our new $200M real estate credit fund and will subsequently support capital-raising efforts for our real estate equity initiatives. This position offers a unique opportunity to work closely with senior management and contribute to the growth and success of our investment platform. This position reports directly to the CEO.
This is a full-time position with a hybrid work schedule out of our Port Washington, NY, office, with travel as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
· : Lead the effort to raise $200M for our real estate credit fund by identifying, targeting, and securing commitments from institutional, family office, and high-net-worth investors.
· : Serve as the primary point of contact for current and prospective investors, ensuring clear and effective communication regarding fund performance, strategy, and opportunities.
· : Help manage prospective investor pipeline, identify opportunities for new investor conversations, and design and execute prospecting campaigns with Fundraising team;
· - Play a key support role in the execution of the fundraising process in collaboration with the team, including:
· Enhancing the production of fundraising materials (including PPM, collateral material, fund documentation, due diligence data, quarterly reporting, etc.)
· : Develop and deliver compelling presentations, marketing materials, and regular reports to investors, showcasing the fund’s value proposition and performance. Help maintain all marketing collateral and investor data room up to date each quarter
· : Coordinate and manage investor due diligence processes, ensuring all necessary documentation and information is provided in a timely and accurate manner.
· : Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with investors, understanding their needs and objectives to tailor investment opportunities accordingly.
· : Stay abreast of market trends, competitor activities, and investor sentiment to inform and refine fundraising strategies.
· : Work closely with internal teams, including portfolio management, legal, and finance, to ensure alignment and support for fundraising initiatives.
· : Represent the company at industry conferences, roadshows, and investor meetings to enhance our visibility and attract new investors.
Qualifications:
· Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in investor relations, capital raising, or related roles within the real estate or financial services industries.
· Proven success in raising significant capital from institutional, family office, and high-net-worth investors, particularly in the real estate sector.
· Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex investment strategies and performance metrics clearly and persuasively.
· Strong analytical and financial modeling skills, with a deep understanding of real estate finance and investment principles.
· Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with a diverse range of investors.
· Bachelor’s degree in finance, real estate, business, or a related field is required. Advanced degrees or relevant certifications (e.g., CFA, CAIA) are a plus.
· High level of professionalism, integrity, and ethical standards.
Compensation:
$125,000 annually and performance-based bonus capped at 50% of salary.
