Responsibilities:
- Greet patients professionally both in-person and on the phone
- Be able to properly route calls and address questions/concerns in a timely manner
- Check-in and check-out patients using an EMR system
- Optimize provider schedules and patient satisfaction with efficient scheduling
- Effectively communicate with the appropriate staff/physicians regarding patient/appointment changes
- Ensure accuracy with data entry
- Verify financial records and collect patient charges
- Maintain office inventory and equipment needs
- All other duties as assigned
- Ensure the waiting area is clean and organized
- Follow HIPAA guidelines to protect patient privacy
Experience:
- Previous experience working in a medical office or healthcare setting is preferred
- Familiarity with phone systems and handling high call volumes
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
- Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) systems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
This position is full-time and requires the ability to handle a fast-paced environment, multitask, and prioritize tasks effectively.
