Overview:
Edgewater Federal Solutions, Inc. is seeking a motivated and knowledgeable Senior Business Development (BD) Manager to join our growing team. This position will oversee and lead the pursuit of qualified business opportunities and develop winning strategies and solutions as we expand our business in the FEDCIV government marketplace.
You will report directly to the VP of Business Development. In this role, you will serve as our public representative to the Federal GWAC/IDIQ market and serve as Program Manager for our GWAC/IDIQ contract vehicles. You will be accountable for (1) acquiring and maintaining a robust complement of Federal GWAC/IDIQ contract vehicles that position Edgewater for growth; and (2) assisting in formulating and executing strategy, pipeline development, and winning new business through this set of GWAC/IDIQ contracts.
Responsibilities:
GWAC/IDIQ responsibilities will include:
- Solid contacts in the federal government GWAC/IDIQ community which can be used to effectively position Edgewater to be a successful bidder in identified strategic business areas & solutions
- Proven track record of large-scale proposal development initiatives and execution
- Strong knowledge of government procurement environment, processes, and requirements
- Strong knowledge of government contracting environment, process, and requirements
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to effect change and drive results
- Capable of attracting and retaining talent and build a high performing organization
- Strong desire to promote a culture of continuous improvement
- Exceptional communicator with an ability to facilitate a team environment
- Possess strong client management skills, including the ability to develop andmaintain lasting relationships with government and industry partners
- Support Contracts Manager by providing IDIQ vehicle specific reporting information & deliverables (per specific requirements for each contract)
- Provide knowledge and assistance in the use of the IDIQ vehicles to internal and external customers
- Attend IDIQ Program Management Reviews (PMR) as specified by the contract
Business Development responsibilities may include:
- Develop relationships with key decision makers, and aid in business growth by identifying, capturing, bidding, and winning new opportunities
- Ensure specific bid/win metrics are being met as set forth by the specific IDIQ contract
- Distribute IDIQ vehicle Task Orders to Delivery and BD organizations
- Support Contracts Manager as required to assist in uploads/downloads of RFPs and proposals to the cognizant portal used by the IDIQ vehicle
- Assist in the development and execution of account strategy and pipeline for our family of GWAC/IDIQ contract vehicles
- Support Capture Manager/Team for selected opportunities by participating in customer call plans, assessing competitive landscape, and applying understanding of leading competitors to development and execution of an effective and differentiated win strategies
- Aid in the negotiation of teaming agreements, contracts, and proposal development
- Develop and brief bid/no bid recommendations and develop pursuit and capture strategies for new business opportunities; build business case for advancing opportunities via gate reviews
- Identify process improvements
Education:
- Bachelor's (or equivalent) with 10 - 12 years of experience or a Master's with 8 - 10 years of experience.
- Any equivalent combination of training, education, and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the essential functions of the position.
Experience:
- 10 plus years of GWAC and IDIQ contract vehicle experience, to include winning vehicles such as GSA Alliant 2, GSA OASIS, GSA ASTRO, Navy SeaPort-NxG, Army RS3 as well as responding to task orders under those vehicles
- Membership and active participation with Government Acquisition professional organizations is desired
- Current Top Secret or higher security clearance is desired
- Ability to lead interdisciplinary teams with varying levels of experience
- Strong contract management, negotiation & influencing skills
- Ability to present and communicate effectively at senior levels

Technical Requirements:
Proficiency in the following software programs is necessary for this role:
- Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams
- Internet Browsers (Firefox, Chrome, Internet Explorer)
- Customer relationship management (CRM) software
- Business Intelligence tools such as Govwin, Sam.gov, USASpending.gov and FedConnect.

Pay: $140,000.00 - $187,000.00 per year
