The Supply Chain Specialist plans, implements and controls the efficient, effective flow and storage of goods, services, and related information from the point of origin to the point of consumption in order to meet internal customers' requirements. Responsible for the purchase of telecommunications equipment, parts, and related goods and services to meet the needs of the Company nationwide. Manages the corporate Logistics, Warehouse, and Bar Coding processes. Develops and implements Inventory Control systems, policies and procedures in a Shared Services environment. Maintains primary oversight of corporate contract negotiations for purchase agreements and service level agreements.
This is a 6-month W2 contract assignment with the opportunity for contract extension or to transition to a permanent, full-time role based on performance and business needs.
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities of the Supply Chain Specialist:

Receive materials from Primary Distribution Centers (PDCs), execute cross-dock operations, stock shelves, and complete paperwork

Unload incoming materials and stock as needed Operate bar code readers to tag all CPE and materials received and/or assess status changes

May enter inventory transactions into inventory database
- Pull inventory to fulfill requisitions as needed
- Pack customer orders according to specifications

Perform tagging, packing and shipping activities according to schedule
- Use computer programs designed to support various warehouse functions (receiving, testing, shipping, etc.)
- Assist in performing periodic warehouse inventories, and at higher levels may assist in researching discrepancies and taking corrective action
Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED required

A minimum of 0-2+ years in an area of responsibility

Ability to work efficiently and effectively without supervision, and seek advice and guidance on non-routine or problem areas from supervisor when needed

Ability to follow correct processes and procedures
