The Head’s Office seeks to hire an Event Coordinator to support the head’s office at Concord Academy.
This is a part-time (15-20 hours per week, 0.25 FTE) and half year position. The Head’s Office Event Coordinator will work under the direction of the head’s office to support school wide programming that ensures alignment to our mission and increases community engagement. The ideal candidate will provide administrative support to the Head’s Office and possess strong analytical, coordination, and execution skills to address operational gaps, develop workflows, and improve staff coordination processes for events and initiatives that fall under the responsibility of the Head of School’s office.
Responsibilities:

Manage events with appropriate offices across campus on events such as: Opening Days (including dinner), Convocation, Family Weekend, Board of Trustee Meetings and Events, and the Staff and Faculty Holiday Party (60%)
- Under the direction of the Head of School’s office, coordinate with appropriate departments on engagement events

Coordinate special projects in collaboration with the head’s office and appropriate offices throughout the school under the direction of the Head of School to support initiatives from departments on campus (i.e. All School Read, Barbershop and Salon, C&E initiatives, etc.) (20%)

Coordinate materials, logistics, and support for all meetings, activities and initiatives for the board, including coordination of full board, Executive Committee, and Committee on Trustees meetings, committee meetings, special sessions, and retreats (10%)

Support logistics for fall international and domestic travel, ensuring smooth coordination and execution of travel plans (10%)
Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree;
-
3-5 years in a comparable role, experience in an academic environment strongly preferred; Experience in a non-profit is a plus;

Willingness to embrace CA’s culture and be a member of the community;

Excellent writing and editing skills;

High attention to detail;

Ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously;

Anticipate and help to resolve problems; able to prioritize and manage multiple projects within a fast-paced environment;

Ability to lead a project from inception to completion;

Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, as needed;

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google suite applications required; database experience and productivity tools (Slack, Adobe Creative Suite) are a plus;

Candidates must pass a criminal record check;

Ability to traverse the CA campus including climbing stairs;

Ability to lift and carry materials for the office (up to 20 lbs.)
