Our expanding Service Department is looking for an experienced, customer oriented, Service Advisor to join our team. Prior Service Advisor experience is preferred.
- Initiates automotive services and repairs by determining performance problems and services requested. Listens to customer's description of issues; clarifies concerns; conducts inspections; checks vehicle maintenance records; and examines service schedules.
- Prepares and creates repair orders (RO) by describing symptoms, concerns, and causes, as well as repairs and services required; obtains approval signatures; collect and update customer records.
- Verifies warranty and service contract coverage and explains provisions and exclusions.
- Develops estimates by costing parts, labor, and supplies; calculating customer's payment, including deductibles.
- Maintains customer rapport by explaining estimates and expected return of vehicle; obtaining customer's approval of estimates; answering questions and concerns; arranging towing and temporary transportation.
- Maintains established departmental CSI goals.
Service Advisor Job Requirements
- Excellent communication & interpersonal skills
- Recent Service Advisor experience preferred.
- Ability to multi-task and perform in a fast paced environment
- Self-motivated, positive-minded, and enthusiastic individual capable of thriving in team environment
- Excellent computer and tablet technology utilization
Other Qualifications:
High school diploma minimum. 2+ years experience as Service Advisor.
