The Change Management Senior Engineer is a system engineering professional who will help to affect change efficiently throughout the organization by using their technical and computer skills to configure company systems. This position helps fulfill the Company’s change management process through the implementation of underwriting, product-specific, business, and industry guidelines. This position works as part of a team of change management and system engineering professionals assisting in the design and configuration of our loan origination system and internal processes.
- Interpret change requests and design engineering configuration solutions.
- Complete gap assessments to identify changes between new guidelines and current processes.
- Systematically break down problems or processes into component parts using business analysis techniques.
- Perform system analysis to make informed decisions about software configuration.
- Accurately implement and modify basic, intermediate, and advanced configuration within Octane Administration Screens.
- Have an advanced understanding of access fields and criteria.
- Complete configuration testing and evaluation.
- Create Intake Forms and technical specifications.
- Perform self-quality control to test and ensure technical specifications are accurate.
- Complete Production QA and activation/deactivation process with accuracy.
- Complete Specification QA process with accuracy.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure feedback is implemented accurately and approval is obtained
- Coordinate changes with impacted stakeholders/departments.
- Author technology release notes.
- Effectively manage multiple demands and competing priorities and bring professional and clear resolutions to escalations, unresolved issues, or open inquiries.
- Communicate exceptionally in both oral and written communications with both internal and external audiences.
- Identify pockets of risk in change implementation.
- Ensure that appropriate stakeholders and support groups are engaged, as applicable, and coordinate various groups’ activities to ensure effective implementation.
- Evaluate quality control findings from internal and external resources to develop systematic remediation plans.
- Assist leadership with training and onboarding of new team members.
- Maintain knowledge of company-wide lending policies and lending guides.
- Maintain knowledge and ongoing research of lending programs, policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Demonstrate a commitment to professional ethics and compliance with all Federal and State policies.
- Effectively collaborate with Mortgage Technology partners to execute product development and design.
- Influence senior managers and leaders with analytically driven recommendations to improve/optimize processes.
- Prepare the change implementation task/project according to the change schedule.
- Accurately document the change task/project with regular status updates.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- 5+ years experience working within Octane or other Loan Origination System
- 3-5 years experience in project management or working on time-sensitive projects
- 3-5 years of configuration or closely related experience
- Knowledge and experience working within the full life cycle of a mortgage loan.
- Experience working with and analyzing data for uses such as reporting or configuration.
- Experience with Asana or other project management tools.
- Preferred Undergraduate Degree in Mathematics, Economics, Engineering, Computer Science, Accounting, Finance, Information Technology, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- Demonstrate exceptional analytical, problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to understand and write excel formulas and Octane criteria language.
- Methodical in planning and performing tasks to maximize personal organizational effectiveness.
- Self-reliant, highly motivated and resourceful. Collaborates and is receptive to constructive criticism.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Detail oriented and organized with the ability to multi-task and perform in a fast-paced environment.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from seventy seven thousand dollars to one hundred sixteen thousand dollars, determined based on the applicant's experience, skillset, education, training, certificates, and licenses.
