As a Senior Digital Communications Engineer, you will lead the technical aspects of designing, implementing, and optimizing omni-channel communication strategies. Your role will be pivotal in driving technical innovation, ensuring scalability, reliability, and compliance across all communication channels. Leveraging your deep technical expertise, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact communication solutions that drive business growth and enhance customer engagement.

Responsibilities:
1. Technical Leadership and Strategy:

Lead the architectural design and technical implementation of comprehensive omni-channel communication strategies.

Provide strategic guidance on leveraging advanced technical solutions, data insights, and industry best practices to optimize communication performance and effectiveness.

Drive the evaluation, selection, and integration of cutting-edge communication technologies and platforms to support business objectives.
2. Advanced Technical Implementation:

Architect and develop technical solutions for omni-channel communication automation, personalization, and segmentation, utilizing advanced programming languages and frameworks.

Collaborate closely with operational, product, and engineering teams to ensure seamless integration between communication platforms and essential systems like CRM, data warehousing, and analytics.
3. Compliance and Security:

Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards governing omni-channel communications and data privacy (e.g., GDPR, TCPA) by implementing robust security measures and best practices.

Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify and mitigate potential compliance risks and vulnerabilities in communication systems and processes.
4. Performance Optimization and Monitoring:

Implement monitoring and performance optimization mechanisms to ensure the scalability, reliability, and efficiency of omni-channel communication platforms and workflows.

Develop and implement strategies for A/B testing, monitoring communication performance metrics, and deriving actionable insights to continuously improve effectiveness.
5. Cross-Functional Collaboration and Mentorship:

Qualifications:
- Authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future.

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field or equivalent experience.

7+ years of hands-on experience in designing, implementing, and optimizing complex communication systems, with a strong focus on omni-channel communications.

Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or JavaScript, with experience in building scalable, distributed systems and microservices architectures.

Expertise in cloud-based communication platforms and services (e.g., Twilio, SendGrid, Amazon SES) and campaign automation tools (e.g., Braze, Iterable, Marketo).

Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive technical initiatives to successful outcomes.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze large datasets, derive insights, and make data-driven decisions.

Deep understanding of communication protocols, standards, and compliance requirements, including TCP/IP, SMTP, omni-channel regulations, GDPR, and TCPA.

Experience working in an agile development environment and familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, serverless and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).

Experience with AWS or similar cloud platforms.
