**Assistant Buyer**
**Job Summary:**
Join our team as an Assistant Buyer where you will play a crucial role in supporting the purchasing activities of our organization. You will support the Category Buyer in all facets of product assortment, financial planning, and vendor partnerships of the caegory
**Responsibilities:**
- Build new and update existing SKU's within company database.
- Place weekly replenishment orders. Develop stock levels based on sales trends in replenishment system.
- Place, track and ensure complete and on-time delivery of all purchase orders.
- Understand all aspects of ordering and all product delivery options.
- Approve invoices and ensure the company is accurately billed for merchandise purchased.
- Assist Category Buyer with correct retail pricing through competitive shopping lens.
- Conduct category assortment reviews as needed.
- Partner with Category Buyer to determine sales, inventory and turn goals.
- Maintain detailed current knowledge of sales, inventory, and profit trends for your area.
**Qualifications:**
- Retail Buying & Replenishment experience preferred.
- Proficiency in supply chain management systems and tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Understanding of retail math.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Understanding of retail business practices.
- Excellent communication skills, organization skills and attention to detail.
**Physical Requirements:**
- Must be able to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
- Must be able to verbally communicate effectively with others.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $21.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
