Our client, a beauty products distributor in San Fernando, CA is looking for an Inventory Clerk to join their team. You will play a crucial role in managing and maintaining accurate inventory levels for their facility. This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities:
- Lead collaborative forecast process with Warehouse and Manufacturing to generate short- and long-term demand plans.
- Maintain an environment that makes safety practices a top priority.
- Enhance inventory control systems and procedures using established technologies and best practices to effectively implement inventory planning.
- Build and maintain key relationships with employees and customers to coordinate supply networks and ensure continuity of supply.
- Prepares orders by processing requests and supply orders; pulling materials; packing boxes; placing orders in delivery area (pallet building may be required).
- Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves or in bins according to organizational standards.
- Maintains inventory controls by collecting stock location orders, printing requests, recording amounts of materials or items received or distributed through a computer. Also assist in counting of physical inventory.
- Prepare parcels for mailing.
- Confer and coordinate activates with other departments.
- Develop, utilize and obtain expert level proficiency in daily operations reporting and interpret results into meaningful action.
Experience:
- Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent, plus 3-5 years related experience; or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- Personal care/consumer goods industry preferred.
- Maintain a high level of knowledge of warehouse operations, products.
- Good communication, organizational, time management mathematical skills.
- Dependable and Reliable.
- Must be able to read and speak English.
- Inventory, data entry and computer skills ARE required.
- Familiar with training and coaching techniques.
- Ability to change or adapt work practices, priorities, or procedures.
- Sit-down/Stand-up Forklift Certification
Pay and Shift:
- Monday - Friday
- 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- $22.00 - $25.00
