JOB DESCRIPTION
The UPS Store Center Associate delivers world-class customer service to all retail customers by receiving and processing packages for courier shipment, operating copiers, fax machines, binding equipment, laminating machines, and point-of-sale devices. The Associate expertly advises our valued customers by providing accurate information on our array of products, services, and best-value options and exhibits confidence by knowing best practices related to the industry.
The ideal candidate has minimum of 3 years of retail sales experience, has minimum of 1 year experience working at The UPS Store, is customer focused, has up-selling and cross-selling skills, has strong computer and internet skills, a high school diploma or GED, a friendly and genuinely helpful demeanor, and a professional appearance. He or she must be a fast learner who makes an effort to learn all aspects of the business in the shortest possible time. The UPS Store experience would be a huge plus.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Deliver outstanding customer service to walk-in customers and telephone inquiries
- Take ownership of the customer's shipping needs and offers viable solutions
- Act to learn all product and service offerings, alternative solutions, and industry trends
- Operate all equipment, software, and devices in an expert fashion and is willing to teach others
- Receive, sort and place mail in mailboxes accurately
- Consistently greet customers in a friendly manner quickly
- Quickly identify customer needs, and offer additional services which could benefit them
- Receive and prepare documents for printing and finishing
- Mentor/guide fellow sales associates
- Assist center manager with personnel management, timesheet review, order supplies, etc.
- Always wear uniform and maintain the image of the center
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment
- Perform other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum 1 years of retail sales experience
- Minimum of 6 months of experience required with The UPS Store or FexEx Office
- High school diploma or GED required
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suites
- Outstanding phone skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including spelling and math
- Prompt, reliable, and responsible
- Able to lift 50+ pounds
- Willing and able to work 30 to 40 hours per week
- Pay rate depends on the experience level

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.25 - $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
