The primary responsibilities of the behavior technician are to implement the client-specific behavior support and treatment plan, collect data, and carry out day-to-day duties as specified by the behavior analyst. The behavior technician must be compassionate and professional when interacting with caregivers and colleagues, and work well independently. The behavior technician reports directly to the Director of Clinical Services.
Qualifications for the behavior technician are a minimum of a high school diploma with a bachelor’s degree or higher preferred, and a demonstrated interest in human services. Additionally, certification as a Registered Behavior Technician by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board must be attained within 90 days of employment.
