Jarvis International Freight, LLC is international freight forwarder NVOCC based in South San Francisco, CA. We are professional, innovative, agile, customer-centric in a modern office setting with growth opportunities in a lively atmosphere. We are seeking for a dynamic Logistics Consultant to build new business. The position will be responsible for promoting and selling our freight services to potential clients, identify, target new business for the company and establish relationship with new customers. Jarvis International Freight offers a competitive commission structure to ensure unlimited earning potential for this position.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Sourcing new sales opportunities through cold calls, network, and referral
- Establish and maintain successful relationship with customers
- Build and update contract rates for different customers and services on a regular basis
- Regularly contact potential and current customers to increase volume or market share
- Work closely with operation team and overseas agents to develop a collaborative relationship to ensure customers satisfaction
- Coordinates with the Accounts Receivable Department to ensure that customer payments are received.
- Meet or exceed sales threshold/quota as defined by the company
- Analyze sales and profits to generate strategic actions
- Developing relationships with customers and generating new business.
- Forming a customer base by cold calling, issuing quotes, preparing bids, and making formal presentations to prospective customers.
- Soliciting services which include Import/Export for ocean cargo.
- Responsible for meeting the monthly goals given by Management.
- Maintaining consistent communication with our Operations/customer service team and overseas offices.
- Seek out new clients and establish a book of business through prospecting and networking (cold calling, electronic media, in-person presentations, etc.).
- Present Jarvis’ service offers: Ocean Import/Export, Air Import/Export, Cargo Insurance
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher preferred.
- Established presence in the market place preferred.
- Must have excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and Outlook required.
- Proven ability to work autonomously and maintain solid working relationships with clients and staff.
- Strong customer service and communications skills.
- Good organizational skills, as this position requires working with multiple departments and following up with clients and prospects.
- Utilize internal CRM system to create sales quotations and rate proposals to prospective clients.
- Bilingual or multilingual is a plus
EXPERIENCE:
- 1- 2 years sales experience is a plus
- Previous international logistics/transportation sales experience highly preferred
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
