Brew Crew Opportunity
Our Brew Crew is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to play a crucial role in design and implementation of network infrastructure in support of all CBTL. Areas of focus include but are not limited to, firewalls, internet, Wi-Fi, circuits and VPN services. The Sr. Network Engineer works closely with the Tech Team to provide network services, including but not limited to broadcast & production engineering, IT operations, information security, wireless, storage, VM, and cloud among others. This position ensures the availability, security, and performance of our network systems.
The Sr. Network Engineer is responsible for supporting network design, configuration, installation and troubleshooting of network issues within the CBTL infrastructure.
This is a temporary position which is expected to last 90 days. This is a hybrid position working Mon-Wed in our Los Angeles office and Th-Fri remote
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Maintain and manage network routers, switches, firewalls, circuits, patch panels, data centers, and others
- Understand and troubleshoot issues for CBTL firewalls, servers, and storage
- Understand business concerns and technology needs while identifying unique opportunities and develop independent solutions for client and company needs
- Lead and support CBTL-identified projects including, but not limited to, new technology rollouts and software/hardware upgrades to current systems.
- Manage deliverables associated with a project by prioritizing, tracking, and completing assigned tasks
- Excellent customer service, time management, interpersonal, organizational and communication skills and also the ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment
- Create and maintain documentation for all standard technical support policies, procedures, and practices
Your Ingredients
- Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in Network Administration, Technical Communications, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or similar discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum five years technical experience in a wireless and storage environments
- Minimum five years in network administration including creation, routing, switching, IP management, multicast, unicast, troubleshooting and network monitoring tools
- Hardware and software problem solving, use of Windows, Mac and Android operating systems, and Microsoft Office applications. Understanding of IT networking principles
- Demonstrated experience effectively collaborating with others in cross-functional departments
