Position: 00010881 - Administrative Assistant (On-Site)
Grade: 2ND
Hiring Range: $24.09/hr to $30.11/hr. Pay rate commensurate with relevant experience.
This individual will work in a team environment providing administrative support to the Department Chair and the Faculty. Provide a variety of administrative services including, but not limited to:

Assist the Chair in all facets of faculty searches and faculty promotion cases

Organize the Chair’s schedule

Coordinate departmental events, meetings and seminar speaker series
-
Supporting the preparation of correspondence and meeting agendas, assisting faculty with travel arrangements

Developing procedures and systems for efficient office management

Tracking and allocating specific program budgets

Coordinating department website content
-
Maintaining departmental records as required
Requirements
-
1-3 years experience as an administrative assistant or similar position
-
Superior customer service orientation
-
Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment

Ability to work with varying constituencies including faculty, staff, and students

Excellent writing and oral communication skills

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

Excellent computer skills (Excel, Microsoft Word, Power Point)

Strong interpersonal skills

Ability to work under pressure in order to meet deadlines
