Acre Analytical is seeking hard-working and highly motivated candidates to fill the role of Laboratory Technician. A Laboratory Technician’s duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to; assisting with sample preparation, performing lab support functions, and support lab improvement projects. The position will also include clerical tasks integral to the completion of day-to-day operations. Regardless of the task, the Lab Technician will be expected to pay attention to detail, be organized, and be professional. A successful candidate will have experience working in an accredited laboratory environment, be familiar with a wide range of laboratory methodologies. The ideal candidate also will have experience with the laboratory testing of cannabis or similar products.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform intake and preparation of samples for analytical testing.
- Assist in data acquisition and report preparation.
- As assigned, support and/or lead laboratory processes and operations improvement projects.
- As assigned, assist with the upkeep and improvement of elements of the quality management system and our training program.
- As assigned, clean and maintain laboratory and equipment.
- Performance of other laboratory and clerical duties such as data entry, filing, or supply inventory and assumption of other responsibilities on an as-needed basis or as delegated.
Skills and experience
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Strong time management skills and can quickly learn and use a variety of office and laboratory computer applications.
- Ability to think critically, solve problems, work independently and within a group.
- Communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced setting, multi-task, and prioritize assignments.
- Must be available to work nights and weekends as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in an ISO 17025 accredited laboratory environment.
- Microbiology Experience
- Experience using instruments such as HPLC, UPLC, GCMS, ICPMS.
- Previous experience working in a laboratory environment.
- A degree in chemical, biological, or life sciences from an accredited university.
