Job Description:
- Coordinate logistics activities, including shipping, receiving, and inventory management.
- Plan and schedule pre-paid LTL, partial & full truck load shipments based on customer orders and delivery requirements.
- Parcel Shipping, both domestic & international
- Communicate with the warehouse, carriers, and internal teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and products.
- Track shipments and monitor inventory levels to prevent stockouts and delays.
- Resolve any issues or discrepancies related to shipments, such as damaged goods or delivery errors.
- Auditing of transportation invoices
- Maintain accurate records of shipments, inventory, and transportation costs.
- Optimize logistics processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Ensure compliance with transportation regulations and safety standards.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as marketing, purchasing, and sales to coordinate logistics activities and support business objectives.
- Provide regular updates and reports to management on logistics performance and key metrics.
- Cross train with the Logistics Manager to book and track ocean and air shipments during peak season
Requirements
Qualifications:
- 2+ years previous experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain management preferred.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficiency with MS Office, especially Excel & Outlook, logistics software and systems, such as ERP systems, transportation management systems (TMS), and warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Knowledge of transportation regulations and compliance requirements.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and make decisions under pressure.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in all aspects of work.
- Ability to multi-task and adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Certification in logistics or supply chain management (e.g., Certified Logistics Professional, Certified Supply Chain Professional) is a plus.
