Guests can sip cocktails and enjoy American fare by the famous David Hockney pool at The Hollywood Roosevelt. The Tropicana Pool Bar offers guests curated drinks and delicious bites in the chic Hollywood setting of our 60's style poolside bar.
Position Summary
The primary role of a Server is to effectively serve food and beverage selections to our guests. Their job duties require style and service attributes that are key to creating a positive guest experience.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Deliver excellent customer service in an efficient manner.

Accurately record and enter all food and beverage items into MICROS/POS System.

Maintain knowledge of all food and beverage menus, brand selections, prices and garnishes, including specific details of cocktails, spirits, wine and beer selections.

Knowledge of the Tropicana Pool Cafe and general local area information.

Maximize sales by using menu knowledge and suggestive selling techniques.

Attend all scheduled training sessions and team meetings.

Maintain cleanliness of all service areas and ensure work area is orderly and properly stocked.

Complete assigned duties within each shift, including daily close out procedures.

Collect accurate payment from guests and ensure accurate recording of sales.

Check guest identification for minimum age requirements.

Make reasonable effort to promote responsible drinking.

Develop and maintain positive communication and teamwork with all co-workers and supervisors.

Handle all guest service issues in an immediate and professional manner.

Education and Work Experience
-
2-3 years equivalent combination of education and experience.
-
Previous experience in a high-volume restaurant.
Certificates, Licenses and Registrations
California Food Handler Card.
