Job Summary:
We are seeking a full time, dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. They will play a key role in supporting our healthcare providers and ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care. Work hours are Monday through Friday from 7:45 AM to 4:45 PM daily.
Responsibilities:
- Assist healthcare providers in the examination and treatment of patients, including taking vital signs, documenting medical histories, and preparing patients for procedures.
- Perform routine administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments, answering phone calls, and managing patient records.
- Prepare exam rooms and medical instruments for patient visits, ensuring cleanliness and compliance with infection control protocols.
- Assist with minor procedures and gynecologic exams, providing support to patients and healthcare providers as needed.
- Educate patients on procedures, medications, and self-care instructions under the direction of healthcare providers.
- Maintain inventory of medical supplies and equipment, ordering supplies as needed and ensuring proper storage and organization.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of a medical assistant training program or equivalent work experience.
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred.
- Previous experience working in a healthcare setting is preferred, preferably in obstetrics and gynecology.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in basic computer skills and electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
