Your opportunity: Manager of Human Resources (HR)
Manager of Human Resources (HR) - Your Job Duties:
You will support multiple entities, applying your varied exposure to HR working directly with employees to support leadership and development initiatives, onboarding, recruiting, HR compliance and performance.
You will be responsible for all of the HR function for the company, including:
- Ensure adherence to wage and hour laws, compliance requirements and union agreement requirements and any union matters as they arise
- Provide support to, and centralize point of contact, for matters related to workers compensation claims, investigations and audits
- Assist with employee matters including leave of absence/maternity leaves, benefits, firm policies, wage and hour questions
- Monitor job postings and initial review of candidates / share with the hiring managers
- Administer offer letter and pre-hire screenings, candidate first day items and onboarding
- Overseeing the Human Resources Information System (HRIS) for tracking employee data and automating HR processes.
- Performance Management employee engagement processes
- Work directly with third-party employment law firm to ensure employee handbook updates and changes are done and rolled out to the team, annual compliance training is done
- Ensuring ongoing compliance with HR matters (ie: labor law posters, wage and hour matters, EEOC)
- Maintain up to date on ongoing HR compliance requirements, researching and communicating relevant changes to management
- Work with third party benefits brokers on insurance renewals and shopping the best rates
Manager of Human Resources (HR) - Required Skills, Experience Fit with Our Team
- You have previous experience and a well-rounded knowledge of human resource (HR) including employee relations and compliance matters
- You possess a strong Emotional I.Q. (E.Q.) you work well with many different personality types and can support both craft labor and the executive team
- You bring options, ideas and solutions to human resources situations
- Able to work in office in Roseville, California office
- You are able to travel to Stockton, California office occasionally for team meetings or to perform field staff onboarding
Manager of Human Resources (HR) - Desired, Not Required
- Human Resources certification (PHR / SPHR / SHRM-SCP or SHRM-CP or related)
- Knowledge of union labor relations, union contracts, or prior experience in a labor relations role
- You have been through a performance management implementation with a company
- Prior experience overseeing the recruitment functions within a company as part of your human resources duties
This role is based out of our office in Sacramento and is 100% in office role.
Compensation $80,000 to $95,000 base salary plus incentive bonus potential.
