Responsibilities:
· Conduct Comprehensive Diagnostic Assessments: Perform thorough diagnostic assessments to understand clients' psychological needs and develop tailored treatment plans.
· Provide Individual Counseling: Conduct individual counseling sessions to address clients' mental health issues and foster emotional well-being.
· Facilitate Family Therapy Sessions: Conduct family therapy sessions as necessary to address family dynamics and promote comprehensive healing.
· Collaborative Treatment Planning: Collaborate with clients to develop personalized treatment plans aligned with their specific goals and challenges.
· Specialized Diagnostic Evaluations: Conduct diagnostic evaluations for children aged 0-21 suspected of autism spectrum disorder (ASD) using standardized assessments such as ADOS-2, MIGDAS-2, BASC-3, SRS-2, and Vineland-3.
· Data Analysis and Interpretation: Analyze and interpret assessment data to formulate accurate diagnoses and treatment recommendations.
· Evaluation Reporting: Prepare comprehensive diagnostic reports detailing identified symptoms and impairment areas related to confirmed diagnoses.
· Family Communication: Communicate assessment results and treatment recommendations effectively to family members or caregivers.
· Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Expertise: Serve as an expert resource within the organization for ASD-related assessments, interventions, and support services.
· Stay Current with Research and Best Practices: Stay abreast of current research, diagnostic criteria, and best practices related to neurodivergent conditions, particularly ASD, and integrate this knowledge into clinical practice. Occasional training to interdisciplinary providers may be requested.
· Provide Psychoeducation and Support: Offer psychoeducation and support to individuals diagnosed with ASD and their families, helping them understand the diagnosis and navigate available resources.
Qualifications:Education/Experience:
· Doctoral degree and licensed in the state of Ohio as a Psychologist.
· Previous experience with assessment/treatment of neurodevelopmental disorders is required.
· Certification in Behavior Analysis (BCBA-D/BCBA) and/or a Certified Ohio Behavior Analyst (COBA) preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
· Must demonstrate clinical competencies essential to job performance.
· Technology competent.
· Ability to communicate effectively, both oral and written, with internal and external stakeholders at multiple levels.
· Must be detail-oriented, have excellent organizational skills, and be flexible.
· Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced and high-volume environment with an emphasis on timeliness and accuracy.
