As a Registered Nurse in a cosmetic procedures practice, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality patient care, assisting in cosmetic procedures, and ensuring the overall safety and well-being of patients. Education:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution.
- Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in accordance with state regulations.
Experience:
- Previous experience in a clinical setting, preferably in cosmetic procedures or aesthetic medicine.
Skills:
- Strong clinical and observational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
Certifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Any additional certifications related to cosmetic procedures or aesthetic nursing are advantageous.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods during procedures.
- Lift and move equipment and supplies as necessary.
- Adherence to professional appearance standards and the dress code of the practice.
1. Patient Assessments:
· Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical history, allergies, and pre-existing conditions to ensure suitability for cosmetic procedures.
· Collaborate with healthcare providers to determine the most appropriate treatment plans for individual patients.
2. Preparation for Procedures:
· Prepare patients for cosmetic procedures, explaining the process, and addressing any concerns.
· Assist in obtaining informed consent and ensure patients are well-informed about pre-procedure and post-procedure care.
3. Assistance in Cosmetic Procedures:
· Assist healthcare providers during cosmetic procedures, providing support, and maintaining a sterile and organized environment.
· Monitor patients' vital signs and respond promptly to any signs of distress or complications.
4. Patient Education:
· Educate patients on cosmetic procedures, potential risks, benefits, and post-procedure care instructions.
· Address patient inquiries with clarity and empathy, ensuring a positive patient experience.
5. Documentation and Charting:
· Maintain accurate and thorough electronic health records (EHR), documenting patient assessments, procedural details, and any adverse reactions.
· Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and practice policies.
6. Emergency Response:
· Be prepared to respond to emergencies or adverse reactions during procedures, initiating appropriate interventions and collaborating with the healthcare team.
· Stay updated on emergency protocols and maintain proficiency in life-saving techniques.
7. Post-Procedure Follow-Up:
· Conduct post-procedure follow-up assessments, monitoring patients' recovery and addressing any concerns.
· Collaborate with healthcare providers to adjust treatment plans as needed.
8. Collaboration with Healthcare Team:
· Work collaboratively with physicians, nurse practitioners, medical assistants, and estheticians to provide comprehensive patient care.
· Participate in interdisciplinary meetings to discuss patient cases and treatment plans.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
