Job Overview:
As a Technician at Quality Process Services (QPS), you will play a crucial role in supporting our customers in the oil and gas industry by providing top-notch service and maintenance of various equipment. You will be part of a dynamic team dedicated to continuous improvement and excellence in service delivery.
Duties:
- Dismantle and reassemble instrumentation and measurement equipment.
- Monitor and maintain the condition of measurement equipment.
- Diagnose faults in measurement equipment.
- Tear down and rebuild liquid and gas metering systems.
- Understand production equipment such as separators, Glycol Systems, and communication equipment.
- Perform calibration of electronic and manual monitoring systems.
- Possess computer skills in DOS and Windows.
- Handle electronic, communication, and production tasks efficiently.
- Carry tool bag and calibration equipment as needed.
- Communicate effectively with customers/clients in a professional manner.
- Drive to and from the workplace and job sites safely.
- Maintain good communication skills and a positive attitude towards work and customer relations.
- Learn new measurement methods and attend relevant training sessions.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Mechanical knowledge with experience in heavy equipment operation.
- Proficiency in oil & gas industry practices.
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and pipeline systems.
- Basic understanding of construction practices with the ability to perform heavy lifting.
- Knowledge of distributed control systems (DCS) and equipment repair.
- Strong communication skills and computer proficiency, including Windows.
