eBay Global Payments and Risk is looking for a Technical Program Manager to be the driving strength to help execute and optimize the way we deliver world class payments & risk platforms. You will understand customer requirements, and then be responsible for: creating and driving the product delivery roadmaps and features. As thought leaders you will also set the tone, standards, mechanisms and processes.
You are at ease working in a cross-functional and globally distributed multinational team with high emphasis on successful and timely delivery.
This is an individual contributor role that requires both program management excellence and sophisticated experience with Jira, Confluence, and industry-standard collaboration tools (Google docs, MS Office). This role will be critical as we build flexible, robust and scalable processes and tooling for maximum productivity and efficiency.
Key responsibilities
Drive measurable results and influence others towards business goals regardless of reporting structure
Intake high-level business needs and translate them into product requirements and tactical plans
Lead and run ambiguous critical initiatives across many functions, including scope definition, surfacing tradeoffs, and gathering educated estimates to support commitment and planning decisions
Formulate and drive impactful recommendations to tackle complex problems.
Cultivate a culture of inclusion and promote a growth mindset among teams and collaborators.
Manage critical product launches from inception to delivery and support post launch
Partner with Business and Technology leadership to establish a solid understanding of the vision, purpose and expected business benefits of a program to deliver customer delight. Ensure measurable achievements, metrics and KPIs are defined, tracked and aligned to company goals and objectives.
Set the tone of operations by cultivating a culture of trust and collaboration.
Establish and maintain project management standards, processes, and best practices, ensuring that projects are driven efficiently
Interface with executives to define project priorities, implementation opportunities, challenges and communicate project risks and opportunities.
Qualifications
A proven track record driving global initiatives from ideation to activation and delivering business impact
Highly proficient with agile and software development collaboration tools: JIRA, Confluence, etc. Ability to demonstrate advanced Jira expertise, including custom boards, searches, dashboards, and workflows.
Comprehensive understanding of what it takes to ship software iteratively in collaboration with business, engineering, design, and product teams
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Comfortable leading discussions with senior leadership
Ability to build strong relationships internally and externally; an active listener and clear communicator; seeks win-win outcomes
Experience with Agile and Lean processes and principles. PMP or PgMP highly desired.
Expert‐level knowledge of project and change management, methodologies, techniques, processes (e.g., Project and Portfolio Management Methodology – PPM).
Budget, cost and profitability management skills.
Knowledge of resource management tools.
Ability to influence without authority.
Flexible, adaptable and resourceful when managing changing timelines and multiple deliverables.
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business, Payments, Risk or a related field, or 7 years equivalent work experience
The pay range for this position at commencement of employment in California, Washington, or New York is expected in the range below.
$126,800 - $187,550
Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
If hired, employees will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
