As a Water Resources Engineer, you will play a key role in providing engineering expertise for a variety of infrastructure projects, including transportation, storm water, and civil site design. - Serving as the technical lead for drainage and water resources on complex projects.
- Preparing Phase II engineering plans and specifications for stormwater management facilities.
- Conducting Phase I stormwater management studies and conceptual drainage studies.
- Utilizing hydraulics and hydrology modeling software for analysis and evaluation.
- Designing, analyzing, and reviewing grading plans, flow calculations, and civil site design elements.
- Adhering to quality assurance and quality control standards.
- Participating in client meetings, project scoping, and proposal preparation.
- Ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
- 5 to 10 years of experience in drainage/stormwater design or related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Illinois.
- Experience with Illinois Department of Transportation and Illinois Tollway drainage design requirements.
- Proficiency in hydraulics and hydrology modeling software.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and teamwork skills.
- Familiarity with roadway design software and virtual collaboration tools.
- Ability to utilize Excel spreadsheets, create excel trackers, and be able to use Word and Powerpoint for reporting/presentations via teams or in person.
