The Director of Strategic Advancement will play a critical role in the organization’s ability to support community impact, specifically, economic advancement for individuals facing barriers through comprehensive fundraising and relationship management strategies.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Manage and mentor development staff, providing leadership, guidance, and professional development opportunities.
- Oversee the tactical execution of the development plan created by the Vice President of External Relations.
- Demonstrate a passion for Goodwill of Southwestern Pennsylvania’s mission through culturally competent, trauma-sensitive, and compassionate written and oral communication.
- Analyze donor preferences to create customized donor experiences
- Keep staff informed of all Goodwill initiatives, policy changes and updates and other general company information
Travel Required: Yes, frequent travel will be required.
Schedule: Monday - Friday (8:00am - 4:00pm) After hours and weekends when assigned or necessary.
External Hiring Range:$72,099 to $74,982.96/year
- High School Diploma AND 9 years' of experience in all aspects of Fund Development including progressive leadership and strategy development in the fund-raising landscape.
- Associates' Degree AND 7 years' of experience in all aspects of Fund Development including progressive leadership and strategy development in the fund-raising landscape.
- Bachelors' Degree AND 5 years' of experience in all aspects of Fund Development including progressive leadership and strategy development in the fund-raising landscape.
- Candidates are expected to provide current valid clearances (Child Abuse Clearance, FBI Fingerprints Clearance, and PATCH) prior to first day of employment.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
