Bilingual is required. Must speak English and Spanish to assist with our Spanish speaking clients.
Hours are 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., Monday - Thursday and 8:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. on Friday.
Qualified candidates must possess the following skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent. Certificate in Paralegal Studies, is a plus.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize, organize, and manage workload while taking the initiative to anticipate future tasks.
- Have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Be dependable and consistent, especially with attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Ability to thrive in a team environment and establish good working relationships.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications.
- Filevine and Lead docket knowledge is a plus.
Job duties entail:
- Assist in screening incoming leads, evaluating, and signing up new potential clients.
- Work closely with the firm’s case manager and intake manager in a team environment and ensure all procedures are completed.
- Data entry into Filevine, our client management software.
- Communication effectively with clients, medical providers, and insurance companies.
- Managing new clients, setting them up for medical treatment, and following up on medical care.
- Setting up claims with insurance companies and establishing coverage and liability.
- Sending out letters of representation.
- Requesting medical and billing records with affidavits.
- Preparing and maintaining client files.
- Filling out appropriate forms for PIP, Medicare, Medicaid, and Lost wages.
